Welcome to our website!

Epping Forest HF Group are a club that walks, for all ages from 18 to 80+, who get together most Sundays to explore different parts of Epping Forest, the surrounding countryside, Central and Greater London. We started in 1938 and 2018 was our 80th anniversary. The EFHFG is affiliated to the national Ramblers Association -   www.ramblers.org.uk

Our walks are usually in smaller groups (10-20),we don't walk too fast.

Walking is a pleasant and healthy pursuit, a relatively painless form of exercise and not too exhausting for this Group because, as everyone knows, "there are no hills in Essex”.  Walking is a way of becoming more closely acquainted with the wonderful woods and countryside in our part of the world and a way of appreciating the history and development of London.

New members - and new ideas - are always very welcome.

For all members, social evenings, twice yearly coach outings and an annual holiday are offered. If you choose not to walk, or are unable to, then the other activities may be of interest to you.
