COACH OUTINGS

We have coach outings once or twice a year, in spring and/or autumn to a variety of destinations, up to a maximum of 100 miles away.  The price of tickets is kept as low as possible, since these are non-profit making day-trips - the objective is to break even.  The party usually splits up into two groups - those who wish to go on a walk (usually no more than 6 miles) and those who prefer to "do their own thing" and visit a place of interest - it may be a stately home or a historic town. Blue-Badge guided walks are now being included and have proved to be informative and popular.

The coach picks up and returns passengers to the Hawkey Hall, Woodford Green, or outside the Iceland store, Gants Hill

Over the years we have visited Rye and Romney Marsh, Southwold, Canterbury and Colchester, the Cheddar Gorge, Clacton, Winchester, Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, St Albans,Oxford and Broadstairs, Southwold, Salisbury, Ely, Chatham Dockyard and Maldon Regatta. Suggestions for fresh destinations, and volunteers to lead walks once we've arrived, are always most welcome.
