IN BRIEF

We started in 1938 as an Epping Forest rambling club affiliated to HF Holidays Ltd, itself created in 1913.  Since that time, we have continued to enjoy our surrounding countryside and City of London.  Our aims are to provide a healthy enjoyment of leisure, to encourage the love of the countryside and appreciation of city environment, to organise rambling and other social and educational and cultural activities within a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Our walks are enjoyable at all times of the year and offer new views and scenery on every outing.

Current membership stands at about 120.  Our weekly Sunday walks are in the Epping Forest and London areas, also other places of interest. We venture further afield on our coach outings.

Our annual club holidays in the UK are popular and enjoyable.offering full day walks or strolling with sightseeing.

We meet socially seven evenings a year in Wanstead for quizzes, slide shows ,interesting talks on nature and local history.  The AGM takes place in May and a Christmas Social is organised.

Suggestions for further topics of interest are always welcome.
