HF Holidays Ltd was established in 1913 and soon provided hotels throughout the country purpose-designed to cater for walkers, offering holiday access to scenic parts of the UK. HF-trained leaders take care of map reading, guiding, and safety essential to exploring unknown districts.

En-suite rooms are comparable with good hotels, dining tables seat 6 - 8 people, and menus offer excellent choice. House facilities include drying rooms in case of bad weather, some have a swimming pool, and a range of optional evening activities are offered by leaders on UK holidays.

At present, HF Holidays Ltd runs country houses spread across the British Isles and are able to supply accommodation and guided walks worldwide. In UK houses, accommodation only and special interest holidays are also available in addition to guided walking and family holidays.
